Ten minutes to a living circle
You bring the people; the app gives them one simple thing to do every day: check in, and be seen doing it. Here is the whole job of a leader, in order.
1 · Create the circle
- Name it what you would say out loud to your group, and pick the rhythm you will actually keep — daily for practices, weekly for meetings and workouts.
- Your circle is private. Nobody finds it unless you invite them or you deliberately make it discoverable.
2 · Invite everyone at once, together
- Open the circle, tap invite, and share the link into your existing group chat — or show the QR code on your phone while everyone is in the room.
- Aim to get the whole group in within a day or two. A circle comes alive at four or five people checking in; trickling in one at a time is how circles stall.
- Check in first, and react to every first check-in that week. Being seen once, early, is what makes people come back.
The one device gotcha: phones with Screen Time or parental restrictions (common on youth devices) can silently block Google and Apple sign-in. If sign-in fails, use Sign up with email — it always works. Tell your group this up front and you will save every stuck phone.
3 · Pair partners
- In the circle's Extras tab, pair people two by two. Each pair gets a private lane to hold each other to it.
- Members can also raise a hand to ask for a partner — those requests wait for you in the same place.
4 · What you see as a guide
- A guide walks alongside without checking in: you see the room — check-ins, posts, encouragement — and you can cheer everyone on.
- Partner chats stay between partners. You see that a pair is active, never what they say. Your people can be honest with each other because you are not reading over their shoulders.
- Prefer to do the practice with them? Stay a participant. Leading and checking in mix fine.
5 · The first week
- Days 1–2: everyone in, everyone checked in once, every first check-in gets a reaction.
- Say it once at the start: missing a day is fine here. This is presence, not performance — nobody is shamed back into the room.
- After that, the circle mostly runs itself. Your job shrinks to noticing who has gone quiet and sending one kind nudge.
